About This Project
This is a playable prototype built to explore fast, readable 2D beat ’em up combat combined with roguelite-style progression and escalating enemy pressure.
The project blends ideas inspired by the assist-driven chaos of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with the short-session, survival-focused loop of Vampire Survivors. The goal was not to build a polished or content-complete game, but to see if these ideas could coexist in a cohesive, playable loop.

Development Notes
The prototype prioritizes combat feel, responsiveness, and system behavior over visuals, balance, or content breadth. Many mechanics were prototyped without animations first, then integrated with animation timing once the logic felt correct.
Several systems—especially jumping and air combat—required multiple iterations to convincingly sell depth and weight in a 2D space.
This build represents a complete gameplay loop, intentionally left open-ended.
