Parentemon
What is Parentemon?
Parentemon is a love letter to classic Pokémon battles, except instead of fighting an Onix in a cave, you're squaring off against a Level 0 baby named Georgia in your living room. You play as Dad (Lv. 36) and your goal is simple: get the baby to fall asleep before your own parental stamina runs out.
It's short, silly, and meant to make anyone who's ever been on a 3 AM bottle-shift smile.
What's in this first build
- Full turn-based battle loop — classic Pokémon-flavored back-and-forth, complete with stamina bars, level/name plates, and a dialogue box that types one character at a time.
- Four parent actions, each with their own flavor text and tooltip:
- Cradle — Rock the baby to chip away at their energy.
- Give Bottle — A full belly hits hardest.
- Change Diaper — Comfort tick. Small but reliable.
- Call Grand Parents! — A "help" move that very much does not help. (It hurts you.)
- The baby fights back — Georgia's signature move Cry will absolutely take chunks out of your stamina if you let the fight drag.
- Randomized damage rolls so no two battles play out exactly the same.
- Win / Lose states with their own end screens, sound stings, and a restart button so you can immediately rematch.
